Whenever I type "s" "w" or "e" I get double letter so "ss" "ww" and "ee". This happens often when I type the letters. My keyboard is relatively new and I have never spilled anything on it. I had the exact problem with my previous keyboard aswell, but I did spill suff on that keyboard.

Also, I am on a 2 month old PC atm. Did not have this problem when the PC was totally new.

is it a brand name keyboard or generic? I noticed my keyboard was a lot more sensitive to my presses when i first got it but i have adjusted my presses. I used to get double presses registered

I take it that its not a HP Laptop as I can find a similar problem for them.

I have a corsair strafe red keyboard with the software downloaded. this keyboard had the same problem on my prev computer too. same problem, as my previous keyboard.

Try doing a clean boot and see if you get same problem - this will show you if its windows or a start up program

Lets see if safe mode is any different
Go to settings/update & security/recovery/Advanced startup - press the restart now button
choose troubleshoot
choose advanced
choose start up options
hit the restart button
choose a safe mode (it doesn't matter which) by using number associated with it.
PC will restart and load safe mode

If keyboard works okay in here, it is probably a conflicting keyboard driver if it happened before on same computer

you might want to try this once you logged back in normally - http://www.thewindowsclub.com/how-to-remove-old-unused-device-drivers-in-windows-7
Was last keyboard same type of keyboard?

When I booted in safe mode, it was not apparent that it happened, but it doesn't happen every time I press "s" "w" or "e". It isn't even the majority of the time, so I have no idea why this is happening.

Also my previous keyboard was a Razer blackwidow 2015. I have not used that keyboard on this PC.

You went from Razer Blackwidow to a Corsair, I went from a Razor Blackwidow to a Logitech G910.

My W key on blackwidow stopped working entirely, that is worse than it repeating as you can correct a double, it is hard to type a question without a W. It was like your problem at first, only happened sometimes but towards end it was 3 out of 4 presses.

Perhaps the point where keycap activates is too high for your typing method (you would hate my kb then as it took me a few months to not double letters), having same thing happen on 2 keyboards on 2 different computers leads me to look at outside factors. Both keyboards had their own software so unless windows sometimes decides to use the default drivers instead of the device drivers, I am starting to think problem is your fingers :)

I have considered this to be a solution, but I never have this problem when typing at school or on my laptop. School keyboard is a generic HP keyboard and the laptop is like a hp probook or something.

But yeah, i have no idea how or why this is happening.

The issue is called chattering and is somewhat an issue on mechanical keyboards. Mostly the immense dust causes it (Or my bloody cigarette ash flying in the room).

You can fix the issue either by blowing into the switch while you keep it held, but it was not a permanent solution for me, my entire keyboard is chattering (Not using a corsair) and did not go for RMA.

You can solve the problem by installing a free program called Chattering Fix. You make it run on the background and it removes the second command for the letter if the time interval is too short. That almost completely solves your problem.

RMA is a better option if you can wait tho.

might want to check firmware: http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=140738
