Multiple simultaneous inputs to one PC possible?

Evening all. Just wondering if this is possible. I'm currently running a very robust custom build, i7 5820k on an MSI x99s gaming 9, 16gb RAM, one gtx980, a 500gb ssd and a 2tb standard hard disk.

I'm wanting to set up a secondary screen-a TV I'm going to put up above my regular monitor. I know I can set that screen to stream content (Hulu, movies, whatever) while I use the other. What I'm wondering is, can I set up two simultaneous inputs that don't interfere with each other? Essentially running two computers off just the one computer. Looking to play 2 player games on local co-op from the same machine, or be able to set up my daughter's shows while I'm on the computer but have her be able to change channels / shows without interrupting what's going on with the other screen.

My computer has the computing power to run two programs at once, I'm just trying to harness it. I know it probably isn't a thing, but it would be cool if it was possible. Just wondering.

Thanks!

Well if it wouldn't introduce driver issues in Windows and possibly device recognition issues in BIOS then I would suggest getting a second keyboard and mouse, but the way that windows is built, it would see input from both as coming from the same device and wouldn't see two keyboards and mice separately from each other.

This can be proven by connecting a wireless keyboard and mouse to a laptop with onboard keyboard and mouse, pressing a key on the laptop and mashing the other keyboard simultaneously, this will yield a negative result. If you use a mouse to move one direction and another to move another direction, then you will simply end up with it moving whichever direction was the faster movement with the slower movement subtracted from its speed on screen.

Sorry, but I don't know how to help you here

yes its possible i can show you how to if you would like. however to have any significant preformence for games you need 2 gpus
