Hey guys,

i just upgraded my system with a 4790k and a corsair H115i.

Im running it on an msi Z97 Gaming 5.

So now i wanted to OC it in BIOS to 4,4Ghz at 1.2V. When i reboot and look it up in CPU-z it sometimes showed me 4,4Ghz but then at anytime when i run a stress test and look at cpu-z again it is back at stock speed.

What is happening here? Need help!

Thanks!

The CPU is brandnew, got it today, so no OC before.
Well i just opened my BIOS and changed the clockspeed to 4,4Ghz at "Fixed" so all cores have the same speed. I changed CPU Core Voltage to 1,2. F10 save&exit.

Thats all i did so far.

I also tried "OC Genie" to see if the corespeed stays at 4,4Ghz but it also jumped back to stock speed. Temperatures on idle below 30C, at full load about 60C.
