I know it's old news, but I thought I'd ask anyway. How does this
community feel about losing two hobby magazines? How does this
community feel about getting a full color glossy to replace them?

As for me, I was perfectly happy with MWAN and Courier in their old
formats. I can't judge the relative value of the new magazine, because
it hasn't been released yet. I'm depressed because where I had two
American magazines covering my hobby, and now I only have one. Takes me
back to the days of McCoy and "Wargamers' Digest." I'm having trouble
viewing this event as an expansion of the hobby.

Any thoughts?
Cheers

I wonder if this is what Hal expected when he sold it. I didn't get
that from the information published at the time.

I had stopped reading the Courier a long time ago. The first MWAN I
got was mimeographed, then they went to the digest size.

Like my father likes to say. Don't not call it progress, lets just
call it change.

I have no compalints with that IF the new magazine maintains the level of
content with regard to articles, gaming and modeling tips, reviews and rule
sets published. If it becomes just another flashy mag w/ overabundance of
color pics and none of the above with a higher price, I think it'll just
confirm that historical gaming is on the decline and wil become even more of a
niche hobby than it is now.
My two cents,
Mike
