Pass on the MX200. A MX2 or MX400 is going to be better for gaming. The MX 200 has half the memory bandwidth of the other 2 MX models.
From the Nvidia site:
GeForce2 MX
Memory Interface: 64/128-bit SDR, 64-bit DDR
Texels per Second: 700 Million
Memory Bandwidth: 2.7GB/s
GeForce2 MX 400
Memory Interface: 64/128-bit SDR, 64-bit DDR
Texels per Second: 800 Million
Memory Bandwidth: 2.7GB/s
GeForce2 MX 200
Memory Interface: 64-bit SDR
Texels per Second: 700 Million
Memory Bandwidth: 1.3GB/s
I upgraded my wife's computer to an MX 200, thinking that 200 has to be better than the MX2. So before installing it into her system, I put it on my P3 733. 3dMark2001 was less than half of my GF 256 DDR card. Hovering in the 1300 area with the default settings on. Later I upgraded CPU's and Motherboards to Athlon 1.33 and A7A266. Same 3DMark 2001 score. Then I did some research.
If you are looking for some low cost respectible power, a Geforce 256 can be had for less than the MX2 cards and get the better performance.
FYI, My son's Gf 256 SDR is running 500 points faster than the MX 200. Lucky for us the wife doesn't play games.
