Question MX150 is unwilling to open control panel without integrated graphics

I've been trying to get BO3 to run on this laptop and the dedicated GPU would not be functioning this poorly. I'm convinced the APU is bullying my mx150 and have disabled the APU in the device manager. Since then, i get the error message "Nvidia display settings are not available. You are not currently using a display connected to an Nvidia GPU." Why would the nvidia control panel stop working when Intel's was disabled? I've uninstalled and updated the drivers both before and after killing the Intel one. Help
