According to Everest home edition my Sparkle MX440 does not support
vertex and has a pixel shader

vertex shader - yes
pixel shader - no

however, games, like Far Cry, do run on this card without pixel shader.
The scenery just looks more plain like water's surface shows no reflections
and the parrots are brown instead of being colorful.
