I'm looking to build my 1st computer and have an idea what I need. I just want to make sure the parts I purchase are all compatible. Can someone recommend brands on the parts I'm looking to purchase and to make sure they are compatible? I'm going with the i7, quad core, very good graphics & good sound card. CD/DVD/Blu Ray player & burner (double decker) 2 slots, Bluetooth capability, will be running 2 monitors, 32 gb of ram, 1 TB memory, and Windows OS.

Never mix ram kits in a new build especially higher end ones if you need 32 GB buy a single 32gb kit. Also confused why you'd ever use a $300ish motherboard, especially if paired with a sound card as the better sound quality is the only reason to overspend on a board.

The RAM kits are essentially 2 parts of same module. I have used them in that format in quite a few builds without any issues ever. They sometimes add up two of those and sell you as 4 module kit. As for the soundcard, the OP requested for it. And if any car can beat the SupremeFX S1220, its that card.

I've used different kits at times and had it work flawlessly, I've seen it take lots of manual tweaking, I've seen them flat not work together at all. No reason to save a couple of bucks on a build that outrageous and risk issues. The soundcard is fine but there is no difference between a $175 board and your $280 board if using a separate sound card.
