So I got my pc back from repair service today. They fixed my keyboard, which was the reason why I sent it in. But now my harddrive only shows 85,3GB available out of 118 GB. My harddrive is a 1TB, so I am missing alot of space? They deleted all my data, so I got a freshed installed PC. Maybe they formatted it, and something went wrong?

I would also like to mention, that before I sent the pc to repair service, I had drive C and drive D. Now I only have drive C?

Thanks, I will do that if not smashjohn have an easier solution.

Well, you definitely still have a 1TB drive installed.

Let's see if DISKPART can see any hidden partitions:

go to the command prompt by running CMD
type: diskpart <enter>
type: select disk 0 <enter>
type: list partition <enter>
type: exit <enter> - to quit diskpart

This should show you any hidden partitions on the drive.

I should have asked to to run a "list disk" as well to see if diskpart sees unallocated space. Here's an article on it:
https://superuser.com/questions/825017/how-create-new-partition-on-an-unallocated-space-using-diskpart

If diskpart doesn't see any unallocated space, I'd say the drive is bad. If it does see unallocated (Free) space, we can use diskpart to create a new partition out of the unallocated space and assign a drive letter. Though it would be baffling that windows wouldn't be able to do this...

I guess this means, that my drive is bad. I just don't get it. Something is telling me, that my drive is fine:/

Your HDD is fine.

It was their cloning of what appears to be a 120GB SSD image to your HDD that is the problem.

I am so mad right now. It's their fault. I have to fix this as fast as I can, because of upcoming exams. They are so important. I guess a fresh installation of Windows is the only solution.

It also make sense with the cloning. My computer is just like when I got it. The antivirus (with subscription included), the programs etc are installed. I guess they have a 120gb external harddrive with a image of windows with these files.

I am now doing a clean install of Windows 10.

Okay, I have been trying the whole day and the whole night to make this USB drive work. My pc won't boot from the USB drive, but I checked the files (created by the media tool) and found a file named setup. Can I run that? I don't want to brick my system :/

If I run the setup file, this window is coming up. It looks correct, but I am not sure if I am doing it correct. Like, it need to boot in that file, right?

My PC is still resetting. Will try with another USB drive after this is done.

And yeah, I sat “USB hard drive” as Boot #1. It loaded and then it was like it gave up and went booting on the SATA.

Edit: I am my phone, and another account (idk why, lol). I am SpaceWeed

I just checked with MobaLiveCD if the drive was bootable and it was!

If you don't see your USB flash drive in that list then it's not going to work.

Is there a Secure Boot option in your BIOS setup that can be disabled?

Already disabled.

I am now trying to do it with an external harddrive instead of an USB drive.

Hello.

I am back on my PC. It was a hell, but it worked.
I ended making my PC completely unbootable. I could only go in BIOS :/
Long story short, I made my PC able to detect my USB drive with the Windows files on. Made by the Media Tool on Microsoft's website. I made the PC boot on the USB drive. I followed the link you gave me, and deleted every single partition. I now got a fresh installed Windows and a bootable PC.

P.S Remember to remove the USB drive after you completed the Windows Installer, otherwise it will loop. I made that mistake, hehe.
Feel free to contact me on my steam, if you, with the same problem, have any questions. I don't other people to go through this hell.
