My rig: i7 8600k 16gb ram nvidia 2080 evga p1 650w

While playing league of legends with my friend loading into the game I notice my gpu starting to get loud and then my whole monitor went black but could still hear my friend. Confused on what happen I benchmarked my whole rig and once it go to testing my gpu it get to a high usage and the fans again picked up in speed and my whole computer went blank. When I first got the gpu and did some testing the fans would get loud but my whole monitor wouldn’t just turn off and it won’t go back on unless I force turn on and off the computer and I have no idea how to fix this

So it is the founders edition 2080 im going to record the temperatures while benchmarking it today and
EVGA SuperNOVA 650 P2, 80+ PLATINUM 650W is the powersupply
So while benchmarking it’s notmal and as soon as it starts it just goes black screens and the gpu fans are going crazy can’t even see the temps

The black screen makes me think it PSU, but the fan speed increase before the crash makes me think GPU. It may be clocking up (thats why the fans spin up) then when it hits a certain clock, it may be browning out your PSU because it is drawing too much power. That is my theory rn with the information I've read. EVGA 650W 80+ Platinums are generally good PSUs but I had the exact same PSU model as you, paired with a Ryzen 2700, and a Vega 64 OC'd (Power pig), and it ended up browning out the 650W PSU. 2080 are pretty powerful cards so you could be experiencing the same dilemma.

Using 2 separate PCIe cables?
Yes I am using two separate cables. I tried two new cables and haven’t had a problem but while playing some games like apex the gpu has gotten seriously hot like 80 Celsius and I’m worried it’s going to shut down again and cause the card to be killed is there anything else that can be deducing this
