Hey! I have had an issue for a long time and I haven't found any way to fix It yet, so.

First of all these are my specs:

- MSI Z370 PC PRO
- i5 9600k OC 4.9 GHZ 1.3v
- Hyperx Fury Black DDR4 3200mhz CL16 2x8GB
- Radeon RX Vega 56 8GB

I just ran memtest86 on both of the sticks and got 0 errors, in BIOS by default RAM was running at 2400mhz, so I turned on XMP, and keep getting 3100mhz.

Dont get me wrong 3100mhz to 3200mhz is no difference at all but want to OC to like 3600mhz but I can't even get past 3100.

My BIOS version is the latest released on oficial website as far as I know, last one is from end of 2021.

Motherboard specs says RAM can go up to 4000+(OC)

Means your 'Overclock Profile' is no good. Go back into the the BIOS, restore defaults, Enable XMP, and start your Overclock from scratch.
I don't have any agressive OC its just 4.9 ghz and 1.3v override mode, anyways just tried all default except XMP and still the same screen

Why does your BIOS say CSM and not UEFI?

Also pushing RAM that is already XMP3200 which is probably 2666mhz*, 3600 will be pushing it if even achievable. Your timings will be so sloppy it wouldn't be worth it IMO.

Make sure the RAM is in the right slots and seated. If it fails you can try a BIOS update and if that fails, it's simply hardware incompatibility. Not everything is always compatible.

*edit just saw you said it's 2400. Not a chance.

I would stop playing with it but that number is still bugging me. 3100mhz is not a standard value. What's jumping to mind is you've got a bad BIOS or bootleg RAM or either a bad MB or RAM.

See below image, those are the speeds one would expect to see. Ignore the red box, not relevant to this.

Yeah It is weird, memtest86 says that both modules are fine, Z370 MB's were discontinued beacouse they were replaced by Z390 soon after release I think, so It doesn't really have much support, since the last BIOS update is from 2021.

Oof. You are in a sticky situation.

Last BIOS added important features but is a Beta BIOS. Could be why?🤷

Description:
- Windows 11 Supported
- Support Re-size Bar function

I think (and I know the struggle) try to forget about it
