The GTX 970 is there in place of the 1070, but you can also get the 970 when the 1070 comes out, at a lower price.
The cooler is one of the best for overclocking, the motherboard is a good overclocker.
SSD is A LOT faster than any HDD and will improve load times and startup speed.
I think it's worth spending the more money, because the 970 performs two times better than the 960.

The cooler is good, way too overkill for his needs though. My 212 evo in push/pull config keeps my 4790k @ 4.5ghz at around 70-74c while running prime95. He can easily snag an evo and use that saved money to get up to 16GB of ram. Would future proof the rig much better. Plus get a WD black over the blue .

General consensus for the Cpu, solid motherboard with 16gb's of Ram. Standard HDD and 240gb SSD. If this was going to be purchased tomorrow, I'd buy the nVidia 970. If you are saving, you'll be wanting a 1070 instead. Solid case, cooler. Great Psu.

The i5 6600k will perform on par with the i7 for cheaper. Only way the i7 would benefit you would be if you're streaming or plan on doing heavy multi core work on the PC. Any reason for the i7 4790k specifically?

Well if you don't mind spending a little more then go with the i7 6700k, no reason to get an older gen if you're starting from scratch with a new build.

Oh man , its really hard for me to decide because if i get a gtx 970 or 1070 and i7 6700k. its gonna be over 900 dollars. I guess i will just go back to i5 6600k and gtx 970 or 1070. BTW what is wrong about the i7 4790k? Should i get the i7 6700? its cheaper than the 6700k

Absolutely nothing. There's just no reason to spend money on an older generation when the newest generation parts are basically the same price.

Could pick and choose between them too. Top Build: Psu is 100w more, and cheaper. Same model otherwise. Ram;:16gb vs. 8gb for 15 dollars more...spend the extra 15 dollars. Video card is better on the top build for cheaper too(higher stock clock rates).

Bottom build has a nicer motherboard(50 dollars more expensive though) and nicer cooler(almost 50 dollars more expensive). Also has a better SSD, and, if you are ok with spending the money, I'd buy the 850 Evo myself.

Cases, I like the Spec-01 more than the 200r, but didn't see that it was from Microcenter. Might be an issue ordering it for that price, so I'd probably double-check and see if there was another case in that price range(55 dollars) that is better than the 200r.

If you overclock, get my build and maybe 16GB RAM(I put only 8 to reduce price).
If you don't overclock go with this build.

Not this one, it's 2 generations older, for the price of that Xeon, you can get a i5-6600k.
Also, with the 6600k you'll get DDR4 RAM.

I feel really like youve got no clue what youre talking , about and spreading mainstream stuff from big youtubers.
the xeon is basicly an i7 490k without onboard graphics.

a 6600k has got no hyperthreading and this will result in lagg when livestreaming.

we miss a handfull fps tops, for a way lowerprice for a quad core with hyper threading.
This person we are trying to help is on a budget and this build is a solid deal for the price.
A ssd gives more fps when recording gameplay because it can store raw data faster.

conclussion: high fps that is almsot as good as a 6700k, no lagg when streaming and low price.

I know it's a bit better than a 6600k, but it's not futureproof, it's not DDR4 and if he wants to upgrade ram in the future he will have to pay a higher amount of money.

thats neclectable. the point theyre the same now means youre fine.

lets say op needs to upgrade within 5-6 years because things start to slow down.
there will be a new platform than too.
and ddr4 ram? well that difference between ddr3 and ddr4 is now 0-1 in thefuture idk but i think max 5 since ram has almost nothing to do with it.

IF you are running with 16gb's of Ram, do you need the SSD for storing the information faster? Wouldn't it store it in Ram first, then offload to the HDD/SSD? So, you could actually drop the SSD completely because the speed of the HDD wouldn't matter as much with the extra Ram buffer.

no it stores in the ram if the processor cant store it in the ssd immmediantly, its kinda like a buffer.
