My 9590 fx is only running at 4 ghz stock. Why?

So i went and bought the aswome fx 9590 from AMD and when i went to task manager it only shows it running at 4 ghz. my Mobo is a GA 990fxa ud5 so i dont think that is the problem. I reset all the settings back to default in the bios but that didnt seem to change anything.

Wait so change the boot mode selections? Or keep it the same and take out my usb. Theirs also another option storage boot option control and it was set to legacy first should that be UEFI only?

Oh the boot option was on my usb so i disabled that. so now it should be fine right?

So i took out my usb and now it says their is no boot option so it took me back to my bios

make your drive with the os on the boot drive. you should be fine.

its working now. i dont know what i did but the 3rd reboot made it work , thanks for the help everyone.

If it is working, go take a note of exactly what settings you have in the bios or even tell it to save them.

So in windows you are getting the right speed and everything?

Yupp i look at cpu-z and now its running at 4.7 ghz my bios says im running the FCb updated version for the chip.
