My acer is on a startup loop

Hello,
my computer starts up with the blue screen that says it needs to scan my disks and then after it scans the disk it goes to the windows loading screen and after that it asks me if i want to go to safe mode, and then it starts the blue screen that scans my disks again... continuously...

try booting to the xp cd, instead doing an install, do a repair, it will go to a command prompt, type in CHKDSK /P
