my aspire v5 is very slow

my aspire v5 is very slow from the day i bought.. even in touch and through mouse... wt should i do?
i tried installing some softwares and speed ups, but it doesnt help!
now i have updated windows 8 to windows 8.1 but no improvement. how shall i increase the speed of my laptop?

Is it slow to the point that it's lagging... what are the specs of the PC and we can tell you what you can expect. I have two v5 aspire's touch screen laptops and they are fast, and their not even the top of the line specs.
