ASUS Core i5 8th Gen - (8 GB/1 TB HDD/Windows 10 Home/2 GB Graphics) R542UQ-DM251T Laptop (15.6 inches, Dark Grey)

Modal Name: ASUS Vivobook 15 R542UQ
SSD Name - Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500GB PCIe NVMe M.2 (2280) Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) (MZ-V7S500)
I am trying to install a new Nvme SSD in SSD PORT,
I have an m.2 port and to my understanding, it has an M key (Image attached).
The port on my motherboard says SSD J5401 (Image attached)

But when I plug in an m.2 SSD (NVMe, PCIe Gen 3x4 (Image attached), it is not detected in bios and definitely not in windows.

I don't know what to do. I am also confused about which SSD will be compatible with my laptop board.

Can you guys please help me here?

I am not able to attach pics, I am sharing a g-drive link of pics
