Sorry for double post I wanted to post this in General.

---------------------------

Well I got this monster in the mail and its huge. Awesome! Lets get to work!

I took out the Mobo Tray from my case and mounted this big fella. My Asus A8N32 has a metal backplate so I use the standard install.

I remove the old retention bracket from the Mobo (2 screws) and mounted the unit.

I used the H bracket provided and it fit perfectly in line with the screw holes. So far so good.... here comes the cons....

You cant fit a regular screw driver down on these screws because the 120mm fan and the top of this cooler is bigger than the bottom and you just cant get down on the screws.

Not really a big deal, just use a rachet screw driver and your done. Sweet its in and solid!

Now I try to connect the cable to the CPU fan. This cable should be longer, I guess you can say I mounted the cooler in the wrong direction due to the geographical location of my CPU fan plug on my MOBO. No biggy. I removed the fan and reversed it. Ok now it reaches.

Now I try to install my memory DIMMS. Buzzzzzz!! Big freakin problem. The heat pipes on this cool completely hang over DIMM Bank A on the Asus A8N32 MOBO. I am using Corsair 3200PRO memory so these guys are bigger than standard and wont fit in bank A1 at all.

So now I mounted my 2, 1 gig DIMMS into Bank B1 and B2 and hope they work in there and my system wont flake out. Either way, If I wanted to get 2 more gig of memory and utilize those banks I cant without removing the cooler.

-----------------------------

So there you have it, good cooler, nice construction, easy install. Overall to big and blocks my memory slots and the cable should be longer for the CPU fan power hookup to the MOBO.

Should I try to bend the heat pipes to make my memory fit?

Your thoughts and experiences are welcome.
