Hi there Shaji_3,

Sorry that you are facing some issues with your WD drive. 🙁

The drive is recognized by Device Manager right? Do you have some data stored on it?
Yet, you need to go to Disk Management and see if the drive appears over there and how as well.

If the drive is recognized, but it has damaged partitions and/or file system (appears as unallocated, RAW, etc.) you can run some data recovery tool on it: https://www.lifewire.com/free-data-recovery-software-tools-2622893

Once you do that, you can check the drive's health status out, if you run both short and extended DLG test on it: http://downloads.wdc.com/windlg/WinDlg_v1_31.zip

If the drive is not recognized by Disk Management, you can use a different USB cable and attach it to another computer.

Is the device under warranty?

Let me know how this goes,
D_Know_WD :)

Hi

HD is not recognizing by HandyRecovery tool.

with DLG, it shows Capacity-0 GB and Smart Status-Not Available

Tested with another cable and computer. Same result.

Any idea ? Support Please

Unfortunately, taking into account all the things you've tried, it looks like there's something wrong with the device. (enclosure or the HDD itself)

In both cases, if the data stored on the drive is really important, you will need to look for some professional help. You can check WD's Data Recovery Partners out: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=i4yOmV

Alternatively, if the drive is under warranty and you don't really need the data stored on it, you can contact the place you got it from or WD's Support and RMA it: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=lYKRqM

Cheers,
D_Know_WD :)
