Hello, will be getting a new PC soon. As for games I want it to be able to play Dayz easily, I know it will be running on the Arma engine which is horribly optimized and I want it to run fluently at 1920x1080 (I may get another monitor in the near future as well). I also play League of Legends which isn't very demanding so I doubt that would be an issue. I will from time to time be using it for Video editing and some Virtual machines. I am also wondering if it would be worth it to wait for Haswell, I want to stretch my dollar as far as possible. I have a quick build below, I would like to know your input on it. Here is my current PC:
AMD Phenom II 1075T @ Stock 3GHz
Cooler master Hyper 212 Plus
4x4Gb 1600MHz Corsair Vengeance
Asus M4A87TD EVO
ATI Radeon 5770 1Gb
WDC 1502FAEX 1.5Tb 7,200RPM
Cooler Master CM 690 II
Approximate Purchase Date: In about a month, can wait longer however... depends which is the most cost efficient
Budget Range: Max is $2,500 Prefer to spend around $1500
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, Virtual Machines, Video Editing
Are you buying a monitor: No
Do you need to buy OS: Yes
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg
Parts Preferences: Intel CPU, some decent color coding
Overclocking: Maybe
SLI or Crossfire: Prefer not
Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080, May add another monitor in future
Why Are You Upgrading: Arma II is giving my PC trouble on low (want to play Dayz standalone fluently on max settings), League of Legends will drop to 30FPS in teamfights, rendering videos are taking longer than I would like
