My Case Mod So far ....

Hey all! Here is my case mod so far if anyone wants to check it out! I made my own FanBUS and mounted a fan to the side of the case. Nothing really to great so far.

You might try 'rounding' those ribbon cables. Other than that, looks like it'll last you for another upgrade cycle.

Firstly, what processor do you have in there? You got plenty of fans but i'm assuming an old PC... (assuming coz of all the dust... but maybe not)

Looks cool, wanna hear what i am planning on doing? I am gonna go all out when i get my 1.2 and put a 30cm house fan (one of those ones that has the feet, sits about knee height from the floor and generally has a spinning louvre) and i am gonna put it blowing onto the Motherboard/CPU. I already have a small fan heater (without the heating element in it) blowing into it, but that's just sitting there with the case open.. What i plan to do is cut a hole in the side of my case, and put the whole fan in, with the blowing side facing in, and therefore the dials as well... set it to high and have seal it up with some polyfiller.. Then the cord (coz it needs a powerpoint) comes out from the side, and plugs in to a powerboard, with my power supply.. as soon as the power is plugged in, it starts blowing a 30cm fan onto the existing HSF and motherboard!!!
what i hope to achieve is a sorta high pressure cooling thing, coz so much cold air will be getting blown in...

It's a PIII 500mhz. I have had it for awhile but runs with the best of them! I think I could have it for another year till I have to upgrade! I don't have the $$$! It Plays Alice pretty good!

Yeah P3's aren't too bad, personally i prefer AMD but eh, choice is yours hey?

What do you think of my housefan idea? Good or bad? (have you been to PCMods.com? They got the sickest stuff there, i am gonna try to save up and get a Sound Sensitive Neon light, along with some other night little bits and pieces, the only problem is that i take my computer to LANs a fair bit, so i will have to secure them properly.

Another thing, can you tell me what that swichbox thing is in those pics? The black thing, all yer fans plug into it, is it a power'board' sorta thing?

Also, how would you recommend i put case fans (standard 8cm) into my Aopen HQ45 case?
