My computer does not detect my asus gtx 660 graphics card. HELP!!!!

I recently got a asus gtx 660 graphics card. now i got it from a friend so i dnot have an a installation disk. i plugged it into my computer hoping it would boot up from the card so i can download the drivers. sadly it isnt being detected by my computer at all. not the bios or anything. ive done so much research on what the problem is and no anser could help. please someone help me.

Check if the card is even running at all. If it is not, it either may be because of a) bad connection to slot b) dirty slot (although never had that) c) low power on the 12V rail d) CMOS battery is dead (not likely, could happen tho) e) card is broken.

Edit: i just saw that you listed hercules 600W max as psu. It has 24 amps on the 12V rails while the gtx 660 requires 33 amps. You need to try a better a psu or hook it up in someone's pc with adequate psu

Yep and the only gpu it will support are the gtx 750 and BARELY gtx 950 although i wont recommend it because if a 600W unit has such low amperage on the 12V rail, it only speaks for the components used. You should just be thankful that it didnt explode in your pc and replace it with a solid evga or corsair psu
