My computer is having many different problems.

I built this PC 3 years ago and it hasn't given me any problems until about 3 months ago. I was running windows 8.1 at the time. It gave me a blue screen at the time and the only way I could fix it was to wipe the whole computer. I also went ahead and upgraded to windows 10. About two weeks after that, i got another blue screen and had to completely wipe and reset it again. At that point, I made sure to meticulously make sure all of my drivers were up to date. Now, about a week later, when I start the computer, it loads to a black screen and all I can see is the cursor. I tried all of the fixes that I found on this website and none worked.

My question is not how to fix this immediate problem, but what to do about the fact that this keeps happening. Does this sound like a hardware problem? Do I need to isolate each piece of hardware to identify the issue? Anything to help!

Or the solutions posted on youtube video , but make sure you have the video muted

Hopefully one of those things helps you.

Only way to rule out hardware issue is as you suggested to isolate each piece of hardware IMHO. Hopefully someone else on this board with more experience can help you troubleshoot this.

I tried the stuff listed on the first link you posted. None of it worked. I couldn't do all of them because I can't boot into safe mode. I tried as many of the options as I could without being able to see the screen. Ctrl+Alt+Del doesn't bring up anything visible. The only thing that does is repeatedly hitting shift, but the moment I move the mouse or touch the keyboard, that window disappears.
