My computer lags in games

Hello!
I have recently bought high end computer parts for my pc and I realized that sometimes the computers lags so much in games!
I have recently dowloaded the Call of Duty Advanced warfare, and there are many times that the computer is slowing down so much!

My specs are:
- Intel core i7 4790
- Motherboard Gigabyte H97M- D3H
- Ram Gskill DDR3 16 Gb Ripjaws X 1600Mhz
- VGA AMD radeon R9 280X dual-X 3GB
Sapphire
- SSD 128GB Adata
- 750Watt psu Keep out

I do not believe it's normal for this pc to lag.
Please help!

Lag is due to your ping being too high.
In what way is it slowing down? Download fraps, run it, say what FPS you get on average.
Slow downs shouldn't be happening for you.

The psu manufacturer is "Keep Out" www.keep-out.eu
Moozilbee I do not understand the ping situation.
This should be a problem for browzers not for the game right?
Still I am getting lag when I am typing this text right now, the pc lags even on firefox..

I don't know what is happening?

By lag, do you mean there is a delay between when you press the key and when the letter appears on screen?

Yes, this happens also.
Also when I open a new tab on firefox, whne I am browzing, when I switch between programs, when I open file explorer,
and ofcourse when I play games! There is lag pretty much everywhere!!

I have invested to a new system and I am getting this after 1-2 months of use.
Totally disapointing!

Most likely nothing to do with your PC, this sounds like an issue with the keyboard.

If your keyboard has a delay, try updating or uninstalling + reinstalling the keyboard's drivers, and try another keyboard.

The thing is that the lag is not happening only when I am typing.
The whole pc slows down!
Does this lag - slow down has anything to do with the cooling of the pc.
I mean if the pc is not cooled properly it shows down and that affects the whole performance?

Slows down in what way? In what way it being slow, what things are affected by this slowness the worst, and how would you expect it to perform? Be specific, give names of programs, and also run the task manager,go to performance tab, and click "resource monitor", when your computer is slowing down lots check if the CPU, disk, and ram are being heavily used.

Also, download HWmonitor, upload a screenshot of HWmonitor whilst your computer is having a slowdown, and post the screenshot here.

I taking much lag on firefox. I am on my gmail.
When I navigate it taked much time to go from inbox to outbox, much time to type( I have changed the batteries to
my wireless keyboard and mouse), it taked much time to navigate through tabs.
The responce to my commands in general is not fast.

Also abou the COD advanced warfare. WHen I open it, the backgroung music is slowing and laging and also the
picture and the graphics are very slow. Even before the actual gameplay, when I choose the mision I can see that
the game is not responding as it should me. It is not smooth for that type of VGA. As If I have a 1GB DDR2 VGA.
At the actual gameplay the voices are not smooth, it is lagging. The caracter and the whole picture is lagging and it is moving very slow. It is unplayable. I don't know what I have to do.

Imagine the same lagging with everything that I do in the desktop, copy paste to browzer, even right click is slow.
Every program takes much time to lanch and load. I am having an i7 processor, 16 GB Ram, SSD for windows and I think this is unacceptable. I am using Microsoft 8.1
Please help me. It seems like I am using a very old computer with little free disk space and minor RAM, CPU.

Temperature wise everything looks normal, performance wise, is the disk access shooting up in task manager whenever there is a slowdown?

This is very strange, try looking around for people with similar problems, if you have lots of disk space free it shouldn't be this slow at all, how new is your windows install?
