my computer restarts automatically only once when i start it:

my computer restarts autimatically once when i start it and after the automatic restart it stays untill i shut it down .please please someone reply to this it is so irritating!and i think i have done everything i could such replacing psu , cleaning rams ,scanning ,updating,etc. please please please reply some as soon as possible .

amd a6 pro with asus motherboard F1A55-M-LX-PLUS-R2-ASUS-5404

xfx 7750 hd graphic

corsair ram 8gb

450 psu

hd 500 hitachi.

whats your operating system. with windows 7 i would run the built in troubleshooters first to see if they come up with anything. any recent hardware or software changes? has this been ongoing or did it just start?

All that aldan asks, plus run MemTest to check all your RAM is stable. Are you running 2 modules or 4?

win 7 64 bit and i ran troubleshooters and the problem just started one month ago.I formatted the pc as well but the problem still persists.

Try running your pc with only one module at a time to see if it starts up any differently. If a faulty module is the cause you'll quickly identify which one.

Alternatively, you can run MemTest. MemTest is a free memory diagnostic tool which you can download from here:
http://www.memtest.org/
Download the .iso file and burn it to a CD or run from a floppy (Ahhh, such nostalgia). Boot from the CD and it will automatically run through a series of tests on your PC's memory. Be patient, it can take a long time, though you'll quickly see errors being logged if a module if faulty.
If a module is faulty, you'll have to change it for an identical one of the same type, though good Corsair RAM has a lifetime warranty.

i ran memtest and got 0 errors but i still have the problem please help me get out of it and one more thing my computer restarts only when i keep it shut down longer like 3 or 4 hours otherwise it does not

go into the control panel and click on administrative tools,then click on event viewer to view any errors logged.if there is a lot you may want to clear the logs and see what pops up next time your computer does its restart. with each error comes a description of what it means. post the error in your next post.
