[SOLVED] My computer runs dead by daylight terribly. please help

So I know absolutely nothing about PC. I suck at downloading and installing things and finding and fixing problems. So I would really love it if a computer genius gamer could help me rid of the copious amount of lag that accompanies the game dbd on my computer. the loading screen itself is incredibly laggy, as well as actual gameplay. Its like im literally playing it with a microwave, but other games i have play great. my computer is old (from 2012) and i was thinking maybe that was the problem. My internet is fine, so I know that’s not the cause of the lag. also i was looking into it a little more and saw the game requires 8 GB of RAM and i only have 7.87 available. could this be causing the lag? if so, how do i free up RAM? if you see this and need more info on my computer to help just let me know ill tell you everything you need pls and thx

It would be great if you could share your PC parts list, cause it would help seeing what the problem is.

I am pretty sure it's just that you have an old PC, a very old PC.

What other games are you able to run and at how many FPS (frames per second; basically how 'fast' or better said good are you able to run those games; 30FPS is the minimum requirement for you being able to run it).

Also, it probably is your RAM. Some games such as Tomb Raider won't even open if xou have less then minimum required RAM memory.

It's not the internet, this is mostly because of your GPU (graphics card, or this thing).

Your solution is just buying a new gaming PC. If you need help assembling it, just let me know.l you budget.

so how do i share my pc parts list? (also the only other games i run are minecraft and the sims.) and how do i check my FPS? sorry i am so dumb about technology. but I probably will end up buying a new PC eventually but i just want to see if i can get it to be playable before then.
