Question My Computer screen starts larger than my display.

I have an Intel HD Graphics card. When I check the system, it says the graphics have been disabled because of a problem. When I use the Intel Checking Utility, it says everything is working properly. I do have graphics on the display, but the main screen is larger then the display. When I go in to change the resolution, it is locked on the current resolution. The only way to change it is by percentage. Even going to the largest percentage doesn't get everything on the screen. I have a Gateway DX4870 (P11 BIOS) and a Panasonic 50" Plasma Display. Any suggestions?

what the panasonic resolution? or the exact model

Not sure of the resolution, but the computer recommends 1920 x 1080 although it won't let me change it. The Panasonic Model # is TC-P50C2.

the pansaonic only support 1024x768
did you install intel graphic driver?

I did install the updated driver. After doing that is what led me here.

using hdmi to hdmi? or some adapter?
Did windows id the TV as generic pnp monitor?

Using HDMI (built in , no adapter) and yes it is generic.

unplug and replug the hdmi cable while the pc is in windows to see if that pick up the tv model

No changes after unplugging HDMI and plugging it back in. I left it unplugged for about 10 seconds just to make sure it truly disconnected.

test it with another monitor that not so old?

I replaced a 32 inch one with this one. No problems with it. I was just hoping for a quick fix on this one. I can deal with it if I don't use full screen mode with anything and then adjust the window size to as large as fits on the screen. I moved all the icons away from the edge on the home screen and increased the size of the taskbar to be able to see the icons on it.
