This is not really a specific problem that has a single solution. by formatting you pc, did you delete your files or backed up on an external hard drive?
Does the pc get stuck while playing video's or does it get stuck while you as example open an application, folder, webbrowser ect...?
if it is just a single freeze of your pc for a second or less, that is not a big problem. if it freezes and get stuck and won't unstuck, then we have a problem.
could you tell us what you already have tried to do beside formatting your pc?
