[SOLVED] "My Computer" / "This computer" is not loading

When I open "windows explorer" it continues to load forever and I have not been to fix it. If I restart the computer many times it will fix itself. When I open windows explorer it works fine, but if I close windows explorer and try to start it again it will break.

you have the bios screen that comes up i would check the drive he might not have the os bootloader on and not set as first boot device post al parts in system .

chkdsk /f /r

run in an administrator CMD prompt

you should back up ALL you important files and documents, purchased software, licenses etc, because that drive may be failing. one day it will just die, could be today even.

institute a backup plan and NEVER worry about data loss again

What is your backup situation at home? And if you don't do that, why not? Every single day, I read multiple threads here of "How do I get my stuff back?" or "That drive had 5 years of photos of my kids!!" Be it a dead drive, dropped phone, virus, accidental deletion, formatting the wrong...
