My new computer keeps on turning itself on at around the same time everyday. It's usually in the evening between 7 and 9. It also turns on whenever i touch the keyboard even though it's definitely off and not just on standby, Please help it's getting annoying i can't spend stay out of the house at night without my pc greeting me when i return.

In the BIOS there is a power management option that lets you scheduled power ups from a powered down state (off state), I actually use it to turn my PC on every day at 8:30am so it's nice and ready for me.

What OS are you using? Windows 7 has stuff scheduled to run automatically, like disk defragmentation and updates. Have a look at Task Scheduler and see if there are things there scheduled to run in the time you have mentioned.
Also, if you open a command prompt to run as administrator and type in powercfg - lastwake it might tell you what woke your computer or if you put in powercfg -waketimers it should tell you what is scheduled to wake your computer up.

No, they won't mess with your OC if you are putting on default your Scheduled settings in windows. Loading default on bios, will surely put everything to default settings.

Disabling Disk Fragmentation:
1. Click on Start
2. Enter services.msc into the search field and hit enter
3. Find Disk Defragmenter (Enter D on your keyboard while another service is selected) and right-click on it, then click on Properties
4. From the Startup dropdown menu select Disabled
5. Click on Apply
