I have a computer that was being bottlenecked due to an old processor, I have a GeForce gtx 750 graphics card. I bought a new motherboard and a new processor, GA-F2A55M motherboard, and A10 7850K Processor. My dad and I have put it all together, wired everything correctly, and when we start it up and it all has power, the processor fan spins, my case fans spin, graphics card fans spin, lights are showing, but no bootup. We tried taking out the ram to see if a beep would happen and it does, but starting up not a single beep happens for bootup. We've got 2 of the motherboard and processor one for myself and someone else so we tried switching it out entirely and it still does the same.

ugh... you know that the f2a55m doesn't work with a a10-7850k right? In fact, that's an FM2 motherboard... the a10-7850k is an FM2+ cpu... make sure you didn't damage the cpu putting it in (fm2 has fewer pins then fm2+, sticking an fm2+ chip into an fm2 motherboard can damage the chip)

The thing is, Microcenters website has a motherboard + processor deal which was that board, and processor. It fits right in fine it has no issue fitting in or anything.

If your Operating system is OEM and it probaly is, Once you change out the Motherboard, you need to install a new OS. OEM can only installed in one computer, and by changing the motherboard, it is seeing another computer due to the hardware signature. If it was retail, you can move it from computer to another, but only have it installed on one computer at a time.

And my motherboards box has fm2+ on it, so maybe its a different version of the motherboard?

The last specs I saw on that MOBO had it as a socket FM2 and nothing about FM2+. It could be an upgraded version, but that is not usually done without changing the model number of the motherboard. The best thing to do, is to take the Motherboard out and put it on the box it came in. just have the CPU & cooler and one stick of memory plugged in. Use the onboard / integrated graphics if you have either one of those and hook it to the monitor. Try starting it ( should be a switch on the board. If it gets to the first screen ( POSTs ), then you are fine. You then need to recheck the standoffs to make sure they are all in and snug. If not the board will short against the chassis. If it doesn't post, then there is an issue, with either the motherboard, Memory, or CPU.

EDIT: nevermind... found your motherboard.

Gigabyte GA-F2A55M-S1 - which is fm2+

damned gigabyte using silly numbering...

ok

I looked up that motherboard. It might be an FM2+ socket but it's using an FM2 chipset (a55... aka Hudson)... as a result it's NOT natively compatible with the a10-7850k; so you'd need a board with an updated bios... unfortunately. Gigabytes own website lists the compatible cpus... none of the steamroller cored apus are listed, and updating the bios won't help, because gigabyte has no bios updates for that board. As a result microcenter sold you a board that doesn't work with that cpu.

I would return to microcenter and throw a fit... especially since they sold them as a package. ALL a55 chipset boards with a fm2+ socket will have this problem... some of those board manufacturers do have updated bios available to use a steamroller cpu with them (asrock has one called the FM2A55M-VG3+) . But they will NOT come with that bios pre-loaded... so you'll need an old FM2 chip to get the board to load so you can update the bios to accept your steamroller apu.

To avoid this problem get an updated modern chipset with your motherboard... something like a, a78 or a88x chipset.
