I just recently purchased the new game Deadpool, through GameStop, for my pc and I haven't been able to play it, at all. Every time I click on it, it opens this screen saying that it's doing a first time set up, and then the game tries to load, but all I get is a black screen -which, after a few seconds, begins to flicker back and forth between my background and the black. And then the game crashes.

I've emailed GameStop and I tried to get to the company that manages the steam game, but have gotten no results. Is it something with my computer? Or the actual game?

Please help .-.

The Latitude D520 uses an integrated, Intel GMA 950, graphics device. Even if Intel had drivers that always worked, this particular graphics device is well below the minimum graphics needed for the game. The specs I pulled up on the game listed an 8800 GTS as the starting point, so while the rest of the requirements are conservative, and should be fine with your laptop, you don't have a graphics device that can handle what the game needs to run.

Pro tip: go to steam library, right click on the game
Then go to Properties >local files> verify game cache.

Let it load for a while, you should either get success and its just your PC or fail and it will re acquire some files from the steam servers

I'm not sure about the specs >.< I'm a noob ;^; I can tell you what kind of laptop I have, if that will help?

The only other game that I've really played often on here is Sims 2-3; I have other games, I just don't play them often. None of them have done this, though. Everything I've installed has worked perfectly fine. This is the first time any game has done anything.

I was afraid it would be my laptop :L I haven't had problems with any games before but I know it isn't one of the 'top-of-the-line-gaming-laptops'; I have a Latitude D520.

Shoot. Okay; is there any way I can get the graphics on my laptop up to that? Or is it just a wasted effort?

Ahh, okay. Thank you though! You've been a great help!!
