My core 2 quad idle temp 60c and max at 90c higher

After replacing new thermal paste, i've got this temperature and now playing game (low spec game) sometimes are restarting my pc.

Core 2 Quad q8400
GTS 450 1gb ddr5
4gb ddr3
400w psu
Toshiba HDD 500gb

I am from philippines and my room is high ambient temperature if turning off the ceiling fan.

Make sure that the heatsink is properly placed on the cpu. Also make sure that there’s enough airflow in the case

I dont know what kind of appearance of heatsink is properly placed. But it is not faulty and the pins are hardly connected to the mobo. But i will double check it later.

As for the second time, i reach the ideal temp but the games are now dropping fps like 30-40.

Btw, i used deepcool z5.
