My cousin has this prebuilt HP desktop: https://support.hp.com/id-en/document/c04798706 can we upgrade inside it. The processor is soldered down to the motherboard. I'd like to be able to add:
* https://pcpartpicker.com/product/n7K7YJ/patriot-memory-psd34g160081
* https://pcpartpicker.com/product/x7s8TW/msi-geforce-gtx-1050-ti-4gb-video-card-gtx-1050-ti-4gt-oc
* and of course a new Power Supply: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/4g7CmG/evga-bv-450w-80-bronze-certified-atx-power-supply-100-bv-0450-k1
So, will all this work? The most he would like to be able to run is GTA V and stuff like that. Any input would be awesome. Thanks!

The cpu is to weak for gtaV. Also the case will not support those upgrades.

I think that model has one of those proprietary power supplies, note the "external" tag. It's almost impossible to find a compatible replacement for them. HP also limited the PCI slots in those machines to something like 30 watts rather than the standard 75, so most cards won't work in them even if the original PSU could supply enough power.

Could I buy a new case and put the motherboard in it?

No the board has a bunch of proprietary connectors. Either build a new pc or don't upgrade.

There is nothing in that that you can reuse.
Not the case, not the motherboard/CPU, esp not the PSU....
OK...maybe the physical 1TB hard drive. But not the OS on it.

What you are looking for is simply a whole new PC.
