Try high performance power plan within Windows Power management.....(you are probably only going to see the 4 cores scale to only 2.5 GHz at best under gaming loads, so, performance expectations should be keeping that in mind....)
the mobile versions of the i5-7300 are not going to set any records for frame rates in any of the newer games that excel with 6 cores/12 threads, etc...
Even the desktop versions of GTX1060 (3 GB) required reduced settings for good 1080P framerates, and, I'm sure the mobile version might be even a bit more compromised.... ; if you lower settings/quality and framerates improve, then the GPU is holding you back. If framerates stay the same, you are possibly CPU-limited, so, might as well set the quality to higher and enjoy the visuals....
