SPECS:
GPU- rx 580
CPU- (Old) Ryzen 3 2200G, New Ryzen 7 5800x
Motherboard- gigabyte ga-a320m-s2h
RAM- 8GB corsair DDR4 2400Mhz
PSU - (old) Corsair CX 450 (New) Corsair CX 650

Hello, today I tried upgrading my PC I bought the CX 650 PSU and the Ryzen 7 5800x and I tried installing it. Everything turned on except for the GPU's fans and there was no display. The Case fans, CPU fans and GPU blue light where on except for the GPU fans and there was no display. I have tried doing a CMOS reset by removing the battery and replacing it and I have tried using different GPUs and on one occasion with an old GPU the fan spins but there is still no display. I putted the old CPU back and everything is working well so its the CPU that is dead or there is something missing. I did not update the BIOS, I haven't tried using different RAM (because I have no other ram) and I haven't tried a different motherboard (I have a MSI B450M PRO-M2). So there is something that is not compatible in the build with the CPU I might need to buy a different motherboard or RAM, or its the CPU that some how is dead. Any help would be appreciated because I am so lost right now. Thank you in advance.

Solution
So there is something that is not compatible in the build with the CPU I might need to buy a different motherboard or RAM, or its the CPU that some how is dead.
BIOS has to be updated to appropriate version first, before Ryzen 7 5800x can be used on gigabyte ga-a320m-s2h.

  1. Find revision version of your board. It's written on lower left corner (like REV.1.0,REV.2.0 or REV.3.0);
  2. Check cpu support list for your board/revision;
  3. Update BIOS to required version using old cpu;
  4. Only then you can install new CPU.
