Yesterday i was putting my motherboard and all other components in my case, while i was doing that i wiped off to me what look to me as excess thermal paste from before when I installedf my motherboard a couple months back (I only used a pea size) Now i wanted to check my temps with HWMonitor and now when i play rise of the tomb raider I get about 70 C or 75C! i have a hyper 212 evo and an AMD-A10 5800K

Solution
Whenever you remove a CPU cooler, you should reapply thermal paste. Get a coffee filter and some isopropyl alcohol to clean the old paste off and reapply with new paste.

i didn't take off the cooler, i just wiped some thermal paste off the side of it, but would me wiping a small amount off the side effect it?

I would not think so. I would probably take the cooler off and reapply the paste though.

Are you running everything at stock settings? If not, bring everything back to stock settings and see if you still have high temps. It may be something unrelated to cleaning your mobo.
