[SOLVED] My CPU is wrecked, and I don’t want to buy a new one

Alright, so this is my first build, and I was installing my AMD Ryzen 7 2700X into my MSI B450M Mortar Titanium, and that went well, but then, when I tried to correctly install the cooler, I bent a few pins, and eventually 2 of them broke off. So now I have 2 broken pins, several bent, and somehow thermal compound stuck in some of the pins.
Suggestions? Would AMD provide a replacement?

Solution
if pins are broken off, there's no fixing it.
Can't answer that last question for you. Only AMD can answer that question. Just ask them.

What I don't understand is how you can somehow get thermal paste on the bottom of the CPU which is on the complete flip side of where you put the paste.

Just ask AMD if they'll replace it.

Make sure to get ALL the paste out of the socket area if any got in there by using 100% rubbing alcohol and Q-Tips.
Be EXTREMELY careful.

And if either AMD replaces the CPU or you end up getting another one, let this be a lesson.
Be the most careful person in existence when dealing with these components.

Also, the only way I can see you getting paste in the pins or the socket is if you put WAY too much paste on...
If the pins are broken off, bent, ect. AMD won't be honoring the warranty. If they were only bent to some degree, you "may" have been able to carefully straighten them out with a mechanical pencil over the pin or other similar device. However, since 2 are completely broken off, you are out of luck it would seem. Though I've never attempted a fix of that nature, maybe a very careful soldering of the pins if you still have them could work, but that's a long shot. Any pics of this?

You only need enough for a super thin layer on top the core of the CPU.
So a blob in the middle the size of a pea.

Solution
Your only viable option is to purchase a new CPU. AMD is not going to replace a user damaged CPU. Repairing the tiny pins on an AM4 CPU is beyond the skills of nearly all end-users. Don't even try.

How did you do this damage installing the heatsink?
