My cpu usage is 90%-100%

Hello!I have an intel i-5 4670k.When i run a game the cpu gets up to 90%-100% and sometimes lag my game.The only apps opened are discord and steam.Is it ok to be like that or is something wrong with usage?My max tem is 74C.

when i open lol client(just the client not in game),gta 5 ,in black ops 3 i have constant lag spikes.I just changed from radeon r9 290x to gtx 1060(i uninstalled the radoen drivers and installed the nvidia recent ones)is it probably from this?(i changed nothign to bios)

Can you tell us what the GPU usage is like when you're playing these games? You might have to overclock your CPU to avoid CPU bottlenecking.

I seriously doubt a i-5 4670k is bottlenecking a GTX 1060.

What do you mean by lag exactly?

What happens if you run VALLEY or HEAVEN?

So in gta and black ops i have 70C on cpu.I mean by lag that the frame rate drops.In gta i don't have lag is working pretty smooth,but in black ops i can't play is moving in 20 fps.I also have a 144hz monitor.Im getting now the valley.Cpu usage is like i said 90-100%.

Run a virus scan, something seems to be hogging your system resources. Also, check the CPU usages when not running a game. See if there's any process that's using up CPU time in Task Manager.

When not using anything my CPU temp is 40-45C.Also can you give me a program to see the gpu usage ,I use core temp for CPU.

Open task manager for the CPU usage for now we are worried about what is using all of the CPU.

VALLEY has OSD built in for GPU usage when you run it.

For seeing GPU usage while gaming, you can use MSI Afterburner's OSD. It'll display CPU usage, GPU usage and a lot of other things on the screen while you're gaming.

Ok i run VALLEY and GPU has 64C,and CPU 65-70C all on extreme HD.

Open Steam and that other program then look in task manager and check cpu usage.

Download and install MSI Afterburner and setup the OSD.

Run GTA 5 and see what the GPU and CPU are while in game.

Try lowering the graphics settings in GTA 5.
