My cpu uses too much volts ?

I set my cpu ratio to 40 so i get 4ghz and its using 1.285 and around 1.240 is it too much ?? I have a i5 4670k

I brought my 4670k to 4.2 Ghz @ 1.13v so far. I think you can bring that voltage way down.

i tried my cpu on 40 and the cpu ratio =4ghz and 1.150V i got blue screen when stressed it
what voltage should i try ?

Hmm. I'm pretty new to OC'ing myself. I'm doing it for the first time as I type this (stress test running in the background). Is cpu ratio the same as "Uncore" clock in HWinfo? If so, mine is still @3.8Ghz. Depending on your cooling I believe you can go as high as 1.3v before hitting dangerous levels so maybe try 1.170 - 1.190 volts? Just keep temps below 80C, below 75C would be best.
