My CPU won't fit into my motherboard

I have a ASROCK Z97 pro4 and i tried to put a intel i5-6500 in but the notches won't fit with the CPU

What i5 ?\
And X79, or Z77?

I5 6500 is LGA 1151. It won't fit X79, or Z77.

You either need to use an 1150 socket CPU with your motherboard, or get an 1151 socket motherboard for your CPU.
