hey I'm going to be building a pc and I'd like to know what you guys think about and I'd like to hear any improvements :)
specs:
MOBO: asus sabertooth z77
CPU: intel i5-3570k
GPU: asus gtx 660 ti top
PSU: corsair gx-750W
RAM: corsair vengeance blue 1600 Mhz
HDD: hitachi 7K1000.C 500GB
ODD: LG dvr dl 22x
case: zalman z11 plus
upgrades I'll do: of course overclocking the cpu, I'll be using a mugen 3 dual fan for that, and someday when needed I'll SLI my gtx 660 ti
thanks :)

Dump the Sabertooth for a cheaper board and put more money into your GPU, it is an over-priced and under-featured board, you pay a lot for the not-entirely useful thermal armor and aesthetics, and to properly cool it you have to use some potentially noisy 30mm fans.

okay updated it a bit, and I'm quite (if that's how you spell it?) a bit below my budget so I could upgrade something :) specs now:
MOBO: Asrock Z77 Extreme4
CPU: 3570K
GPU: GTX 670 FTW
PSU: GX-750W
RAM: Vengeance BLUE,1600-8GB
HDD: 7K1000.C 500GB
ODD: DVR DL 22X, SATA
case: Z11 PLUS

call me dumb: but what do you mean with your first sentence, do you refer to the fact that Holland was the owner of a part of the USA a long, long time ago?
and second: just after I posted my previous post I updated my ram to vengeance 2133 LP ram, 8 gigs of it :)
btw: will this powersupply be enough for a 3570k @ 4.2 Ghz + dual SLI evga gtx 670's?

heres my revised super rig for u

made with stability, overclocking in mind, a decent videocard from evga , 5 years warranty. quality 850watt ps, a good cooler for overclocking. a fast 2tb hard-drive, and a good motherboard and ram. :)

ur all set now.

thanks for the effort but what I have right now I like better (because of the GPU, mobo, ram and case) and is cheaper too at €959,65 :)
but like I said: Thanks for the effort 😀

cool, could you then also answer my unanswered question: is my current PSU (corsair GX-750W) good enough for a 4.2 Ghz overclock on my cpu + 2 way SLI with the EVGA 670 FTW's?

My family is from Holland way, way back :) I got to visit Amsterdam for a couple of days back in '95.

If you figure your GPUs are <200 watts each, ~100 for the CPU OC, and 50 for random other parts, you're only at 550W. Plenty of headroom.

Noticed from a picture that GPU has a "blower" type cooler. Mine has that and it's way too loud if you care about such things. Might have a look at a Gigabyte Windforce model or other multi-fan setup.

okay cool! and I'll take a look at them :)

I didn't pick the sabertooth, the graphics card better (at least for as far as I know a gtx 660ti is less good than the EVGA 670 FTW that I had) and the ram is just a little bit faster, what I like because of futureproofing 😉
