My dell latitude laptop does not power on

my dell latitude laptop deos not power on and there is no sign of power on it. pliz tell me why.

Power adapter is bad, or not plugged in on one or both ends, and/or battery is dead and will not hold a charge or is just drained. Worst case the internals on the main board where the power adapter is connected needs to be replaced or some other major issue on the main board.
