My windows xp desktop lost start button and windows button
on keyborrd does not give me start menu. What should I do
to get it back?

Press the Windows Key and the "R" Key simultaneously (Win+R). That should
give you the Run box. Type the following and press Enter

\windows\system32\restore\rstrui.exe

to launch the System Restore wizard. Use it to revert back to a date when
the computer was working.
