This is my dream PC

*Core i7 3930K OC'ed to 4.0 GHz with water cooling
*ASUS Rampage IV X79 motherboard
*12GB DDR3 1800MHz memory
*3-way SLI GeForce GTX 680 (kepler) overclocked with water cooling circuit
*Silverstone 1,500W power supply
*Coolermaster HAF X case
*A series of three or four solid state drives
*Blu ray drive
*Windows 8

Of course, all of this would probably cost >$6,000. But several months worth of hard work and I can easily save up enough money for this.

Windows 8 is useless for us gamers.

same as windows 7 except a with a tile interface cover that is meant for tablets.

The technology is not out for my dream rig. Only way I can get one in any resonable amount of time is with a Delorean with a flux capacitor and their out of stock since December 5, 1955.

But like most people here my dream build would probably consist of the highest end components available to me, overclocked of course. But I would have at least 8 terabytes of HD space at my disposal, and I try to cram all this stuff in a plain looking mid tower case so no one is the wiser.

The GTX 6xx Kepler and HD 7xxx Southern Island cards will be available Q1 of 2012.

Also, the next-generation of Intel processors will be available around the same time. Apparently the Sandy Bridge 3xxxK series will go with the new X79 chipsets.

Why do people add speakers to a dream rig. Use your home theater for the ultimate sound.

Dream rigs are a thing of the past. You can get a dual video setup with 8GB RAM, SSD, 1TB HDD, Nice aftermarket HSF, Half decent Antec/LianLi style case, illuminated gaming keyboard/mouse, blueray, dual 1080p 24" monitors for under $2000. It's affordable.

In the past similar high end systems were $5000 compared to a $2000 machine. Now they are common place. We even have fibre optic comming to our house and we arn't happy. A dream rig today would be like some sparc sun microsystem or something.

Take off those 590's and add 3 GTX 580's and that would be a smarter move.

Yeah, the 590's are downclocked by 20% because of heat and energy consumption.

My dream Computer was chasing me, a T-800 Terminator, it looked soo human and had a Neural Net Processor, A Learning Computer. the CPU gives Skynet the ability to control it's units directly. It is developed by Miles Bennett Dyson, director of Special Projects at Cyberdyne Systems Corporation. Able to be destroyed ..... unknown.
