This my setup:

ASUS ZenBook 14X OLED UX5400EA-KN068T Notebook
35.6 cm (14) WQXGA+
Intel Core i7
16GB LPDDR4x-SDRAM
1000GB SSD
Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax)
Windows 10 Home

eGPU - Razer Core X
Nvidia Gefore GTX 1070
Inter Irs Xe Graphics - Deactivated

3 monitors linked to the eGPU
Laptop monitor - Deactivated
On 12th July Windows 10 installed 2 updates:

KB5040427 (OS Builds 19044.4651 and 19045.4651)

KB5041019 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5, 4.8 and 4.8.1 for Windows 10 Version 22H2

Since then whenever I leave a game or when I am watching a movie with VLC and I leave full screen in VLC, I hear the noise that something has been disconected and something has been connected.

If I am leave VLC but have a game on, I will only hear the noise, however if I only have a game on and I leave it the screen flickers and sometimes resolution changes.
I believe this is due to the eGPU disconnecting and reconnecting as windows is trying to switch to the integrated card and can't.

Is their a way to stop this? And of course to make sure it is the eGPU(though I am quite certain it is as none of the other usb perifirals stop working)?

Let me know if you need more information.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Hey there,

This particular update has been causing issues for many. Try uninstall it, and then test again.

Have you tried the obvious? New cable? Are all system drivers and chipset up to date? What bios are you running?

All software is up to date. I bought a new cable the same week that issues started to see if it was it. (tried already with old cable and have same issues)

Will try to unistall the update see if it is it.
Bios version: UX5400EA.315
