Is there any computer parts that aren't compatible with each other or am I missing anything or even improve on? I made this build just yesterday and this is my first time, so please give me some slack . I don't want the best of the best, just a pretty good PC rig that can last me a long time. Okay got it, I'll make a parts list in a moment but I have one more question, what is the intended use for this system? Is it mainly for gaming or will you use this system to video edit as well?

To be honest the key objective in mind was to build a pretty decent PC rig that I wouldn't be needing to upgrade for a while, and I thought that a Gaming PC rig is powerful enough for me to last for awhile.

In short, making the PC last long so I don't have to upgrade

Total Price of build after promotion codes and mail-in-rebate - $1439.49

There's a few parts you could swap out of this build if you would like to reduce the cost even further. Like the SSD for example, I threw that in there due to the budget, but you could get rid of that if you so desired.

I went with the i5 3570k over the i7 to be able to throw in a beefier GPU. However, if you need more CPU power than GPU, you could switch back to your original configuration of an i7+GTX570.

Ahhh okay I got it

If your PC is based more around entertainment, you could take off the GTX670 I listed and throw in a GTX570 (cheaper and still performs extremely well). I would still recommend you to stick with an i5, though

I threw in an SSD AND a Hard drive in the list so you could use the SSD for a boot drive, and the Hard Drive as storage. SSD's are extremely fast nowadays and I'm sure you'll be satisified with the performance for the years to come.

There's nothing wrong with your initial build, however. I just think you're investing in the wrong areas Like your power supply, I would get a 650w instead of a 750w as I feel it's overkill.

Unfortunately I don't think the HAF 932 case comes with a built-in SSD mount.

The i7 you linked is already Sandy-Bridge. 'Upgrading' to Sandy Bridge in the future isn't possible since it's last years technology. We're at Ivy Bridge today, and soon Haswell to be released next year.

Sorry i meant Ivy Bridge - 3770K, i know Haswell LGA1150 it's coming out but woud never buy if you keep waiting for every generation to pull out.
