I tried doing some research but no luck. I'm not sure whether the CPU is too overkill on the GPU or if they don't balance correctly. I would like to hear your opinions. Also please explain if I would be able to overclock and if I would be able to run most games on medium settings. Thanks

I will be done buying this build in 2 months.

System Usage: Video Editing, Studying, Some Gaming.

You need to put down more information. The parts you listed aren't complete, meaning they can describe several different parts such as the tier of the PSU (bronze, gold, platinum...). There is also a template you should use when you ask for build help here that will help people know what you need.

Thanks, I have edited the thread.

PSU is definitely over kill. You can get away with a well rated 450W PSU or 550W for that build. If you are stick with the 8400, you can drop the Z370 to a B360 or H310 to save costs, but if you want longevity in terms of upgrades, keep the Z370. What speed RAM are you running?

If you can try to take the 1060 6 GB that will do good with the 8400.
