I'd take a cheaper motherboard but put the money saved into a 980Ti. The 980 is odd, it's only about 10-15% more powerful than the 970 for a lot of extra cost. The 980Ti is a bit more but performs inline with sli 970's and an extra 2 fb VRAM. The 980 has low price/performance

fallout 4 uses threads so getting 6700k is better i know it is bit expensive but gr8
