Hello all,

After tons of research, I came up with this build. This is my first
gaming PC if ever. Please comment.

CPU : Core i5 2500
Mobo: Gigabyte H67MA-USB3-B3
Mem : G-Skill Ripjaws X ddr3 1333 4gbx2
VGA : MSI 6950 Twin Frozr PE/OC 2gb
Case: CollerMaster 690 2 Advance
PSU : corsair 600w
HD : WD Caviar Black 1tb 7200rpm 64m

As you can see, i chose i5 2500 since i dont have plans on
overclocking the CPU.

I also have some questions below:

1. Will by abe to overclock my VGA. I heard that the MSI Twin Frozr
has good overclock capabilites. But i dont plan to unlock it to 6970.
Just planning to overclock the VGA. DO you think my mobo will allow
it?

2. Is the 600w PSU good enough? For overclocking the 6950 and for all the fans in the casing.

I think thats it. Please comment and suggest.

Thanks

i appologize. i thought you had picked out a z68 for some reason. no, the H67 is perfectly fine. However, the GEN 3 for the P67's are a great board, and not a whole lot more. just a suggestion.

reason for hte P67 is only because you dont need onboard graphics with buying a gpu. it will save you some money. The psu is good enough, and if you cant get the 922, its not that big of a deal. Everything else looks good, if you want to make changes, feel free to post again, and i can double check for your. Try to include brand, model, and a couple of features from each component though so i can better guide you along.

cheapest p67 board i can find is the Asus P8P67-M. It is priced at $138.
The h67 board i listed is $130.

I dont know but it seems that p67 is more expensive.

If I will buy a p67 board, i might be tempted to get the Asus P67 Pro and a core i5 2500k. Which is not within my budget. Hehe

Will there be a performance gain if I use a p67 board? Given that p67 is made for discrete video cards in mind? If there is, I will definitely go for a p67 board.
