I have been designing my first computer on about a 900 dollar budget (excluding peripherals) and I have settled on several components, however, I am very new to this and I was wondering if anyone who is more experienced than me could recommend alternative parts, notify me of a potential bottleneck, or give me any tips to keep the price down.

The parts:
AMD FX-9370 (Processor)
ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 (Motherboard)
AMD Raedon Gamer Memory 2133MHz 2x8GB (RAM)
Corsair CX Series 750 Watt Modular (Power Supply)
Gigabyte R9 290 (GPU) *I found an exceptionally good sub 300 deal*
Western Digital Blue 1TB (HDD)

As to the CASE, I still need help with that. I need a case that will fit a 294 mm (11.6 inches) GPU
with an ATX form factor, has a red/black color scheme (although that is the least important part) that will go well with the CM Storm Devastator red keyboard/mouse combo (it's only 30 bucks!), has adequate cooling, and lastly will not break the bank (Less than 100 bucks would be appreciated)

Thank you very much for taking the time to read my thread.

- Would a Corsair H60 Be adequate to cool the 9370?
- Would a 85 dollar SSD be worth it over a TERRABYTE of storage on the HDD?

Hey, how are you?

First of all that processor is useless until you are game designing or doing some very heavy work. Take my advice remove it and go with the FX-6300 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113286) it is more than enough for heavy gaming at Ultra cause i think only 4 cores are gonna be utilized even if you gaming at 1080p.

Second of all if you can dump that Amd Ram not that it is not great or anything but you can do just fine without it and you can go with the corsair vengeance (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233144).

While the power supply is a great one and so is the card. Here i made some adjustments to the system of yours which will fall in your budget and also leave some room for the things like optical drive and OS. I hope you don't mind i think this is much more compatible system and much more balanced and also i tried to save some of your budget.

And for the hard drive your western digital will do just fine. And as far as the SSD is concerned take my advice and stick with the hard drive, although SSD are much more great than HDD but they are expensive right now and they provide less storage for reasonable price and by the way most of the western digital blue hard drives got 7200rpm and 32mb buffer which i think will be enough but if you think you need a SSD and prefer performance over storage sure i can recommend a good SSD too.

Thank you for your well detailed response, however I want to bring up a few points. I will be producing some video content and I will be playing some moderately taxing games, but I see your point about programs not being fully optimized at the moment. However, my goal is to have a sort of futureproof type design. I don't have all the money in the world and I do not want to have to pay for maintaining a computer to be caught up with times and whatnot for at least a few years. Also it seems you forgot to factor in that I found a deal for the card for less than 300 bucks locally. As to the case you mentioned I think it looks pretty great in orange (and it's 10 bucks less). I will see if I can shop around for a good deal. Thank you for taking the time to read and respond to my thread.

Let me provide even further clarification. My budget is not exactly 900 dollars. I am not actually paying for the computer, but I want to be able to get it down to a reasonable price for my parents who are. I have about 120 bucks to spend on a part or two to reduce the price to (hopefully) less than 900 dollars.

If you found a good deal for the card that's great i just put that card so the case i find will be compatible with it so you can remove my card and buy the one you choose. Another thing the PC i suggested you will be last you 4 years flat after that if the games and programs that extensive come you can still run them. And if you want to make the PC future proof than instead of buying the Corsair Vengeance 8 GB go with the Corsair Vengeance 16 Gb that's all you need. If you want i can even suggest you a PC about 700$ dollars but that will list down specs. But if you ask me that is the most reasonable deal you can get.
